Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not decided whether to let Alexis Sanchez join Inter yet, according to the BBC.
The Nerazzurri ‘expect to find out by Wednesday’ if they can sign the forward on loan, having already brought in his former teammate Romelu Lukaku.
Sanchez was not named in Solskjaer’s squad to face Wolves in the Premier League on Monday, but a departure is still not certain.
“United are aware of Inter’s interest and are understood to be open-minded about doing a deal, if terms are acceptable,” Simon Stone reported last night.
“However, Solskjaer could opt to keep the former Arsenal and Barcelona man as cover. Injuries or suspensions to Anthony Martial or Marcus Rashford would leave him short of attacking options.
“The Norwegian has faith in 17-year-old Mason Greenwood but, given a congested fixture list that includes a Europa League campaign, it would be a gamble to rely on only three main strikers.”
Solskjaer confirmed ‘some clubs’ had shown an interest in Sanchez, following United’s draw last night, but insisted he was still their player for now.
The 30-year-old has scored just five goals in 45 appearances for the Reds since signing from Arsenal in January 2018.
