Mauro Icardi’s Inter future remains in the balance with Napoli currently looking his best option to secure a move away from the club according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The Azzurri have made a €65 million offer for the Argentine striker, who has been told by Inter management that he is no longer considered as part of the clubs project.
However, as time goes on, it is looking more and more likely that the 26-year-old will be staying at Inter at least until January which the Rome based news outlet say would be ‘lethal’ to Icardi’s career as he will not play at all for a few months.
Earlier this year Icardi promised himself to Juventus but the Bianconeri have been unable to stick to their end of the pact and do not look like they will be able to sign him this Summer as things stand.
Juve director Fabio Paratici is currently at work trying to offload several players and it remains to be seen whether he will succeed in time to be able to make an offer to arch-rivals Inter to take the troubled Argentine off their hands.
