Inter are not worried by today’s unexpected delay in their talks with Manchester United over Alexis Sanchez, according to Sky Sport.

The Nerazzurri were expecting to complete a deal for the forward on Wednesday but supporters will need to be patient a little longer.

United are in no hurry to let Sanchez leave, with the Premier League’s incoming transfer window having already shut, and are trying to obtain more favourable conditions before giving the green light.

Sky assured these small hiccups in negotiations were not going to jeopardise the Chilean’s return to Italy.

United had already agreed a deal with Roma for Sanchez last week, but Inter hijacked the talks and convinced the player to change his mind.

They wanted to sign the 30-year-old with the same conditions the Giallorossi were given, but United are hoping they can eke out a little more money instead.

Antonio Conte most likely wanted to have Sanchez in his squad before Inter begin their Serie A campaign against Lecce on Monday.

It now seems unlikely this will happen, although Inter will still have four attacking players available if Sebastiano Esposito is included in the match-day squad.
