Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez played in a closed doors match against Sheffield United yesterday as he continues to wait for his move to Inter to go through according to a report from the Manchester Evening News.

The Nerazzurri remain in talks with the Red Devils and look set to acquire the Chilean international on a loan deal with them having an option to buy set at around €15 million.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was in attendance at the closed doors match that took place at United’s Carrington training ground, deems the 30-year-old as surplus to requirements and has admitted in recent days that Sanchez could leave the club soon.

The report goes on to conclude that sources from within United have told them that Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich has been “sensationalising interest in his client in a bid to force through a move within the next fortnight.”
