Cesare Prandelli believes Napoli have a better chance of challenging Juventus for the Scudetto than Inter this season.
Antonio Conte’s arrival has raised expectations at San Siro and led to a mouth-watering outlay in the transfer market, with the Nerazzurri spending in excess of €170 million.
But the former Genoa and Fiorentina coach felt Carlo Ancelotti’s side were more likely to cause the Bianconeri problems.
Prandelli told Sky Sport: “The title race won’t finish at Easter like last year. There are at least four teams who could enjoy themselves and entertain their supporters.
“Napoli have never been as close to Juventus like they are now. More so than Inter.”
Conte will take charge of his first competitive match at Inter when they play Lecce on Monday night.
Napoli, who cannot use the Stadio San Paolo until after the international break due to renovation work, begin their Serie A campaign away to Fiorentina on Saturday before they play Juventus in Turin the following week.
