Mauro Icardi is increasingly likely to stay at Inter this summer, despite the risk of spending an entire season out in the cold.

Sky Sport last night confirmed the striker was still not interested in signing for Napoli, despite their charm offensive towards Maurito and his entourage.

Icardi would only consider joining Juventus if he were to leave Inter, but the Bianconeri need to sell at least one attacker for that to happen.

Mario Mandzukic remains on the market while Paulo Dybala has interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Inter now have less than a fortnight to resolve their former captain’s future, but they are no closer to reaching a solution with Icardi than they were two months ago.

Not even simultaneous departures for Mandzukic and Dybala would guarantee a move to Juve, because the clubs would then need to agree a fee for the 26-year-old.

Icardi seems willing to accept the risk of not playing a single match for Inter in any competition this season.

Antonio Conte excluded him from every preseason friendly in the summer and is not letting him take part in tactical exercises at Appiano Gentile.
