Inter’s bid to resign Cristiano Biraghi from Fiorentina is still being thwarted by Dalbert, as Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning.

The two clubs have agreed a ‘loan swap’ for their players but the Brazilian does not want join the Viola as part of the deal.

Dalbert had his heart set on returning to Nice, but their decision to begin talks with Paris Saint-Germain for Stanley Nsoki has left him out in the cold.

Fiorentina will meet the full-back’s agent today in an attempt to persuade him to accept a move to Florence.

Dalbert will be told he could be an important player for Vincenzo Montella’s side and would get the chance to kick-start his career after two poor seasons in Milan.

He joined Inter for around €21 million in 2017 but has struggled to cope with the psychological demands of playing for a club as big as the Nerazzurri.

Biraghi has already agreed personal terms with Inter and is looking forward to rejoining the club where he developed as a youngster.

The Italy international spent seven years in their youth system before leaving to join Chievo in 2014.
