Lecce Hoping To Recover Three Key Players For Inter Fixture

Lecce head coach Fabio Liverani is hopeful of recovering three first-team players for Monday’s match against Inter at San Siro.

Romanian full-back Romario Benzar and centre-back Luca Rossettini are likely to shake off injury problems to start in the Giallorossi’s back four.

Yevhen Shakhov, who joined the club from PAOK this summer, is also expected to return to the starting XI in a no. 10 position behind Filippo Falco and Gianluca Lapadula.

Lecce were promoted back to Serie A for the first time in eight years in May, finishing second in Italy’s second tier behind Brescia.

Antonio Conte is expected to name a very similar XI to the one that saw Inter past Gozzano in a practice match at Appiano Gentile last weekend.

Matias Vecino is favourite to start in midfield ahead of Roberto Gagliardini while Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez should get then nod up front.

Lecce’s probable starting XI against Inter (4-3-1-2): Gabriel; Benzar, Rossettini, Lucioni, Calderoni; Petriccione, Tachtsidis, Majer; Shakhov; Falco, Lapadula.
