Fiorentina tried to convince Dalbert to join the club yesterday according to a report from Milan based news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter and Fiorentina have held talks over a swap deal involving Dalbert and Cristiano Biraghi but it is understood that Dalbert was not entirely keen on the move due to wanting a return to former club Nice, who had shown an interest in signing him.
Nice have however now directed their attention elsewhere with them now courting Paris St. Germain youngster Stanley Nsoki and it remains to be seen if this will lead to Dalbert accepting a move to Tuscany, which would allow him to put an end to his two-year long Inter nightmare.
Dalbert joined Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Nice back in 2017 but failed to show what he was capable of when given a chance.
Last season he made just 12 appearances across all competitions in which he scored one goal and provided one assist.
