Lautaro Martinez’s agent Beto Yaque was present at Inter’s headquarters to kick-start contract renewal talks according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The talks will continue once the transfer market closes in the not too distant future and Inter are hopeful that they will be able to remove the €111 million release clause in Il Toro’s current contract with the club. His agent however seemingly wants the clause to remain.
Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta reportedly wants to remove all release clauses from contracts in order to give Inter more bargaining power if teams are to come in for the club’s players.
The recently turned 22-year-old joined Inter last Summer and signed a five year deal with the club. After a fine first season and having established himself in the Argentine national team it is completely understandable that Inter wish to discuss new terms with the attacker, who has drawn links with Spanish giants Barcelona in recent months.
