Inter are closing in on the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United and could complete the signing tomorrow, ahead of the season opener against Lecce according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean international is set to arrive at Inter in a loan with option to buy deal but the two clubs must settle how much of his wages each of them will be paying.

Inter are presently only offering to pay around €4 million and it is understood that United are holding out for a little more to be paid.

Sanchez was omitted from United’s squad for the third straight game yesterday and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed post-match that the 30-year-old could leave.

The report from the Milan newspaper also touches upon the proposed swap deal between Inter and Fiorentina involving Dalbert and Cristiano Biraghi.

Dalbert met with Fiorentina officials a few days ago and did not give the go-ahead to the move but things appear to have changed and the deal would appear to be on the home straight.
