Inter will hold talks with Fiorentina this afternoon in a bid to complete a swap deal involving Dalbert and Cristiano Biraghi, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The clubs were working on the move throughout last week but were being held up by Dalbert’s reluctance to join the Viola.
But the Brazilian is now open to the move, following lengthy talks with Fioretina’s sporting director Daniele Prade on Friday, meaning the agreement can be finalised this week.
Both players are expected to move on loan with an option to buy for €10-12 million.
Dalbert initially wanted to return to Nice, having left the Ligue 1 club two summers ago to sign for Inter in a €21 million deal.
But Nice have now decided to pursue Paris Saint-Germain full-back Stanley Nsoki instead, leaving the 25-year-old with no option but to reconsider his position.
Inter will play their first competitive match of the new season tonight when they welcome Lecce to San Siro.
The Nerazzurri remain hard at work off the pitch as well, though, with Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio working to secure another reinforcement on the left wing for Antonio Conte.
