Joao Mario will not be included in Inter’s match-day squad to play Lecce tonight as the club look to sell the midfielder before the transfer window shuts.

Gazzetta dello Sport confirmed Antonio Conte would not announce an official list ahead of Monday’s first Serie A fixture against the newly-promoted outfit.

But neither Mario nor Mauro Icardi will be involved at San Siro, with Inter hoping to offload both during the next seven days.

Mario is not part of Conte’s plans and could be sold in order to make room for another signing in midfield.

Conte is expected to name the same starting XI which beat Gozzano in a practice match at Appiano Gentile last Sunday.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez will start up front, with Matteo Politano and Sebastiano Esposito waiting on the bench, while Stefano Sensi gets the nod ahead of Nicolo Barella in midfield.

Antonio Candreva will make his first start in Serie A since February at right wing-back, having been preferred to Valentino Lazaro.

Diego Godin is the only player missing through injury and could be forced to sit out next week’s trip to play Cagliari as well.

Inter’s probable starting XI vs Lecce (3-5-2): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar; Candreva, Vecino, Brozovic, Sensi, Asamoah; Lukaku, Lautaro.
