Napoli will end their interest in Mauro Icardi if they do not receive a response from the striker by Wednesday, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara last night said he had rejected every offer that had not come from Inter this summer.
The paper assured it would not be long before her comments were revealed to be the truth or simply a bluff.
Aurelio De Laurentiis is prepared to wait another couple of days for Icardi to change his mind, at which point he will close the door.
Juventus seem to be the only club Icardi would want to join if he left Inter, but the Bianconeri are running out of time to make a proper offer.
Maurito will not take part in tonight’s match against Lecce at San Siro, although other reports on Monday suggested he would be in attendance at the stadium with Wanda.
