After having completed his loan move to Russian Premier League outfit Lokomotiv Moscow on loan from Inter, Portuguese international midfielder Joao Mario was very pleased when talking to the Russian club’s homepage.

“I am very happy to have signed for Lokomotiv. I know that this is a great club that has had many famous and talented players. I asked Fernandes and Eder in the national team about Lokomotiv.”

“I consulted Eder before the transfer and he told me that Lokomotiv is a great squad with marvelous fans. Also, the fact that the club plays in the Champions League is a very important factor” the former Sporting player concluded.

Joao Mario has signed a season long loan deal with the club from the Russian capital which will see them pay his entire wages at €3,5 million net per season for the duration of the loan, with an option to make the transfer permanent set at €18 million should they choose to activate it.
