Juventus Want Mauro Icardi On Loan With Option To Buy

Juventus are preparing a bizarre offer to take Mauro Icardi on loan from Inter this season, according to Tuttosport.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici wants to sell Paulo Dybala to Paris Saint-Germain and reinvest some of the money into a deal for Icardi.

But Juve remain convinced Inter will lower their demands for Icardi before Monday’s transfer deadline, given their desire to offload the striker.

Mario Mandzukic could also be offered to the Nerazzurri as part of a swap deal, with Paratici looking to move on some of his own forward players.

Inter president Steven Zhang met Icardi at Appiano Gentile yesterday and reiterated the Argentine has no future at the club.

Icardi does not wish to leave Inter, though, even if it means sitting in the stands without playing a single minute of football for the next few months.

Juventus have already agreed personal terms with Icardi, guaranteeing him an €8 million annual salary, and will not need to meet his entourage again in order to finalise a deal.

But the Bianconeri have not begun talks with Inter due to the ongoing tension between Paratici and his former colleague Beppe Marotta.

The Italian champions are hoping Icardi and Wanda Nara will keep their word and refuse to join any other club before his contract expires.

A swap deal with Dybala remains almost impossible, however, with PSG increasingly interested in La Joya as they prepare to get rid of Neymar.
