Napoli have not yet given up on signing Inter’s Argentinian international striker Mauro Icardi and have given the former Sampdoria player until Friday to accept their offer before moving on, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, the Partenopei have decided to prolong the deadline until Friday despite the former Nerazzurri captain not having shown any signs to be prepared to accept Napoli, at least until now.

However, they cannot wait beyond Friday because on that day is the day that the club coached by Carlo Ancelotti has to finalize the negotiations with Spanish striker Fernando Llorente, who will join the club on a free transfer.

Llorente, who spent last season with Tottenham, is no stranger to Italy and the Serie A having spent two seasons with Juventus between 2013 and 2015 where he featured 92 times across all competitions for the Bianconeri scoring 27 times in the process.
