Diego Godin is ready to make his competitive debut for Inter on Sunday when they play Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena, according to Sky Sport.
The Uruguayan has been on the side-lines for four weeks since he picked up a thigh injury before the International Champions Cup match against Tottenham.
But he is certain to be included in Antonio Conte’s match-day squad this weekend, having missed the Nerazzurri’s win against Lecce at San Siro.
Stefan de Vrij remains in doubt for the clash with the Rossoblu, with no recent news on the problem he sustained during the warm-up on Monday.
Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to be involved either on Sunday as the Chilean did not train today for bureaucratic reasons.
The forward could start working with his new teammates tomorrow but it is difficult in any case to imagine him making the trip to Sardinia.
Inter are expected to announce Sanchez’s arrival from Manchester United on a season-long loan in the coming hours.
He would become the club’s seventh first-team arrival this summer, after Cristiano Biraghi rejoined from Fiorentina this morning.
