Inter must pay Nice a €6 million bonus after the Nerazzurri officially sent Dalbert on loan to Fiorentina today, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Ligue 1 side were in talks to resign the Brazilian full-back earlier this month, but the deal fell through after the clubs could not agree a fee for Dalbert’s loan.
A clause in the contract Inter agreed when bringing Dalbert to Italy in 2017 ensured they had to give Nice the aforementioned fee once the 25-year-old went elsewhere.
Cristiano Biraghi has moved in the opposite direction to Dalbert and was announced as Inter’s latest summer signing this morning.
Dalbert made his breakthrough in European football while playing for Nice, earning him a €21 million move to Inter two summers ago.
He has struggled to adapt to life in Serie A, however, making just 26 appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri.
Biraghi played 35 league matches for Fiorentina last season as Vincenzo Montella’s side narrowly escaped relegation to Serie B.
The Italy international spent seven years in Inter’s academy before leaving to join Chievo in 2014.
