Inter have rejected a last-minute offer from Parma to resign Alessandro Bastoni on loan, according to FcInterNews.it
The Ducali’s sporting director Daniele Faggiano tried to request the 20-year-old during talks with the Nerazzurri at their offices in Milan today.
But Inter immediately made it clear Antonio Conte considers Bastoni a key part of his defensive options this year, forcing Parma to move the discussion onto other players.
Federico Dimarco’s name did not emerge during the talks, despite having impressed on loan with Roberto D’Aversa’s side last season.
Bastoni joined Inter in a deal worth potentially €30 million from Atalanta in the summer of 2017.
He remained on loan with the Bergamaschi for another season before moving to Parma for the 2018-19 campaign.
The centre-back represented Italy at this summer’s European Under-21 Championships, where Gigi Di Biagio’s side were surprisingly knocked out in the group stage.
He was an unused substitute against Lecce on Monday but will hope to make his debut for the Nerazzurri in the coming weeks.
