Dalbert officially completed a loan move from Inter to Fiorentina this morning.

The former Nice full-back is heading in the opposite direction to Cristiano Biraghi, who resigned for Inter on loan with an option to buy yesterday.

Dalbert joined Inter for more than €20 million in 2017 but he has only made 26 appearances in two seasons since.

“FC Internazionale Milano announces the departure of Dalbert Henrique Chagas Estevão to ACF Fiorentina,” a short statement on Inter’s website read.

“The Brazilian defender is joining the Viola on a year-long loan.”

Dalbert arrived in Florence on Wednesday and completed a medical ahead of his transfer.

He initially wanted to return to Nice, where he had made his breakthrough in European football, but the Ligue 1 side were unable to agree terms with Inter.

Antonio Conte played Dalbert throughout preseason but he appeared reluctant to count upon him in competitive matches.

Biraghi has since replaced him and will carry the added bonus of being eligible for a homegrown slot in Inter’s Champions League squad list.
