Inter have completed the signing of Chilean international striker Alexis Sanchez from Premier League outfit Manchester United, the Nerazzurri announced moments ago.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona player, will join Inter on a so called season long dry loan where the Nerazzurri will not have an option or an obligation to make the deal permanent.
According to several reports in Italy, Inter will loan the player free of fees and will pay €5 million net towards the player’s wages which is set €12 million net per season, with the rest set being paid by Manchester United.
Alexis Sanchez is no stranger to the Serie A having represented Udinese for three seasons between 2008 and 2011, featuring 112 times in all competitions scoring 21 goals in the process.
“Alexis Sanchez is the fifth Chilean in Inter’s history, with Ivan Zamorano, David Pizarro, Luis Jimenez and Gary Medel coming before him.
“He will have the chance to link back up with Samir Handanovic and Kwadwo Asamoah for the Nerazzurri, both ex-teammates at Udinese, as well as with Romelu Lukaku, with whom he spent the last season and a half at Manchester United” a statement read on Inter’s homepage.
