Cristiano Biraghi told Inter supporters he was happy to be ‘home’ again in a heartfelt message to his former club Fiorentina.
The full-back completed a loan move to the Nerazzurri on Thursday morning, returning to the club where he spent seven years as a youngster.
He made 35 league appearances for Fiorentina last season as Vincenzo Montella’s side narrowly avoided relegation to Serie B.
“I can’t deny that Inter and the city of Milan, like I’ve always said both in press conferences and in private, are my home,” Biraghi wrote on Instagram.
“But Florence and Fiorentina have never and will always represent an important period of my career. They’ve been two exciting and difficult years, of carefree thinking and great pain.
“These have been the years in which I have fully realised my potential as a player and as a man.”
