Cagliari’s latest summer signing Giovanni Simeone could arrive in time to make his debut against Inter on Sunday.

Rolando Maran will be without last season’s top scorer Leonardo Pavoletti and goalkeeper Alessio Cragno for the match at the Sardegna Arena.

Simeone is likely to be included in the match-day squad, along with Robin Olsen – signed on loan to fill in for Cragno – but neither are expected to start for the Rossoblu.

Antonio Conte has no injury concerns this weekend and could name the same starting XI he picked against Lecce on Monday.

Inter picked up four points from their fixtures against Cagliari last season, securing a 2-0 win at San Siro before losing in Sardinia.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez will keep their places in attack while Andrea Ranocchia should stay in the XI ahead of Stefan de Vrij and Diego Godin.

Cristiano Biraghi will be included in the squad after completing a move from Fiorentina, but Alexis Sanchez’s presence is less certain.
