Inter remain hopeful Mauro Icardi will accept a loan move either to Atletico Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain, according to Sky Sport.
Neither club have begun official negotiations with the Nerazzurri but both have expressed an interest in the forward.
Icardi would still like to join Juventus if he leaves Inter, but the Bianconeri have not made any kind of formal contact whatsoever.
Inter have not been offered cash or any kind of swap deal for their former captain, making it unlikely a deal will be reached before Monday.
Icardi ramped up the tension between himself and Inter tonight by starting legal action against the club.
He is suing for up to €1.5 million in damages and the chance to be fully reintegrated into first-team training.
Inter discovered the news at 21.45 CET last night but did not leak anything to the media because they were waiting for him to agree a move to Monaco.
Speaking on his daily transfer program this evening, Gianluca Di Marzio appeared to suggest that it was Icardi’s decision to reject the French club which convinced the Nerazzurri to let the news filter out tonight.
