Inter will give priority to Fiorentina next summer when they are looking to sell Dalbert again, according to the Viola’s sporting director Daniele Prade.
The Brazilian will play for Vincenzo Montella’s side on a season-long loan this year, having made just 26 appearances for the Nerazzurri since joining in 2017.
Prade explained Dalbert’s complex contractual situation today while presenting the full-back to the media in Florence.
“He has joined on a straight loan because there were a few things in his contract which Inter and Nice still needed to sort out between themselves,” Prade told reporters.
“We couldn’t do anything about that, but we have a gentleman’s agreement with Inter and the player to discuss everything at the end of the season which will ensure we get precedence.
“When I first met Montella to discuss transfer plans towards the end of June, we identified Dalbert as our first choice in the full-back position.
“It’s taken us a while but we’ve eventually managed to bring him here.”
Cristiano Biraghi has moved in the opposite direction to Dalbert, rejoining Inter on loan with an option to buy earlier this week.
