Antonio Conte will name an unchanged starting XI when Inter play Cagliari tomorrow evening, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Cristiano Biraghi is expected to join the match-day squad while Alexis Sanchez also has a chance of being included, but neither will start at the Sardegna Arena.

Inter impressed in their first fixture of the new Serie A season against Lecce and Conte will give the same players another chance to shine this weekend.

“He got a lot of positive responses from the team on Monday and you need a degree of consistency when you’re creating a new identity,” CdS suggested.

Antonio Candreva will keep his position at right wing-back with Valentino Lazaro forced to wait a little longer for his full debut.

Andrea Ranocchia is also due to retain his place in the centre of defence, with Conte reluctant to risk Stefan de Vrij after he suffered a problem during the warm-up at San Siro.

Diego Godin has recovered from a thigh injury and was involved in several tactical drills yesterday, but Danilo D’Ambrosio remains favourite to start.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez will start up front again with Stefano Sensi staying alongside Marcelo Brozovic in midfield.

Inter’s probable starting XI vs Cagliari (3-5-2): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Ranocchia, Skriniar; Candreva, Vecino, Brozovic, Sensi, Asamoah; Lukaku, Lautaro.
