Alexis Sanchez is hopeful of being included in Inter’s squad to play Cagliari tomorrow night, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean only began training with the Nerazzurri’s first team on Friday but made a good impression at Appiano Gentile.

Antonio Conte could decide to take Sanchez with him to Sardinia but not name him among the substitutes at the Sardegna Arena.

“This away trip would be useful to help him build up a rapport with his new teammates,” the paper suggested this morning.

CdS admitted there was one notable exception within Inter’s squad, given Sanchez already has a very strong relationship with Romelu Lukaku.

The pair were teammates at Manchester United for 18 months but they are also close friends off the pitch.

“There was a meaningful hug between them at the Pinetina yesterday,” the report continued.

“But even in the days that preceded Alexis’ arrival in Milan, they enjoyed a very intense exchange of messages and phone calls.”
