It is looking increasingly likely that Mauro Icardi will not be leaving Inter by tomorrow’s transfer deadline according to a report from Tuttosport.

A permanent transfer looked unlikely which led to Inter opening up to the idea of loaning him out. In order for this to happen, the club wished to extend his contract by a year but talks with his wife, and agent, Wanda Icardi were brought to an abrupt halt when she demanded €9-10 million for her client.

At this stage Paris St. Germain appear to be the only club Icardi could leave for. The French giants look set to lose Neymar to Barcelona and unable to sign Paulo Dybala – who will be remaining with Juventus – has led them to looking at Icardi.

Due to Dybala staying at Juventus, any deal between Inter and Juventus can be as good as ruled out as Inter have zero intention of loaning Icardi or selling him at a low-cost to their arch nemesis.

Atletico Madrid are understood to be lurking whilst it is unlikely that either Barcelona or Real Madrid will make any sort of move for him.

Moreover, the report states that Inter have excluded the idea of an exchange with city rivals Milan that would see Icardi swapped for Krzysztof Piątek.
