Following the closure of the Summer transfer window yesterday night, Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has reflected on La Viola’s business.

“At the beginning of the transfer window we said that Federico Chiesa was not for sale and in the end he remained with us,” Prade began an interview with Tutto Mercato Web.

The Florence club tried to sign wingers Matteo Politano and Suso but were unsuccessful in their attempts and he went on to explain why this was the case: “Inter and Milan told us that Politano were not for sale.”

He concluded the interview by explaining why they settled on signing Rachid Ghezzal in the end to bolster their wing department: “The only player that we gave up on was Raphinha, due to the money involved. We then decided to chose between Ghezzal and Oudin. We settled on Ghezzal as he gave us something different to what we already have.
