Inter had the best transfer window of any of the 20 Serie A clubs in the eyes of Rome based news outlet La Repubblica.
“Inter CEO Marotta is the biggest winner of the transfer market. Lukaku, Barella, Sanchez, Godin and Sensi, all arrived among others whilst Icardi was sold,” the report begins.
Napoli are in second place and can be given a 7.5 rating for their business whilst Juventus are in third with a 7 rating.
The Bianconeri missed out on both Icardi and Lukaku yet they can still be considered the strongest team in Italy having signed Matthijs De Ligt, Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey and Danilo.
Capital city rivals Lazio and Roma both get a 6.5 for their efforts with Lazio’s best move in the market being able to keep a hold of Milinkovic-Savic. Roma meanwhile added the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan to their ranks.
La Repubblica were left unimpressed by the business conducted by Inter’s city rivals Milan and gave them just a 5/10.
