Inter management deserve credit for the way in which they managed to get Mauro Icardi out of the club in the eyes of La Stampa.
Over the course of the window, it appeared as if Icardi would only accept a move away from the club to Inter’s arch-rivals Juventus but the Bianconeri never did come in for the Argentine, who completed a transfer deadline day loan with option to buy move to Paris Saint Germain.
In dealing him to the French giants, Inter management avoided selling the 26-year-old to their rivals and in getting rid of him, managed to avoid being taken to court by the striker, who had launched legal action against the club seeking €1.5 million in damages.
The report from the Turin newspaper goes on to praise Inter’s management for also being able to offload both Ivan Perisic and Radja Nainggolan and for the business they conducted on the incoming front.
