Following his transfer to Paris Saint Germain, Mauro Icardi’s legal pursuit against Inter has collapsed according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentine forward began the process of trying to sue Inter for €1.5 million in damages for the way he has been treated in recent months last week but the pursuit will go no further.

Icardi’s transfer deadline exit from the club on a loan with option to buy basis has put an end to one of the longest running saga’s in recent footballing history.

The 26-year-old has agreed to a five-year deal worth at least €8 million a year with the Parisians with him having the possibility of earning as much as €10 million through bonuses.

Icardi has departed Inter after six years with the club following a transfer from Sampdoria. Regarded as one of the most prolific forwards in recent years, Icardi has 124 goals in an Inter shirt.
