Inter and Milan will reveal the design of their proposed new stadium that will replace the historic San Siro stadium in the coming years according to a report from Tuttosport.
Milan mayor Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Sala yesterday called upon the clubs to speed things up and during his interview, he also raised the need for their to be an appropriate formula so that the courts do not accuse him of selling San Siro for any less than it is worth.
“The possible formula could come in the shape of compensation from the clubs to the city council for the sale of the land for the new stadium,” the Turin based news outlet detail.
“Inter and Milan, according to sources close to the two clubs, appreciated the words of mayor yesterday. In fact, the appeal to hurry up with the project represents an assist from Sala who wants to see the new plans put in place. By the end of the month the design of the new stadium should be unveiled.
“From an econonomic point of view both clubs are convinced that a modern stadium, will be able to earn the council more than what they currently do through San Siro.”
