Chile manager Reinaldo Rueda has shared his thoughts on Alexis Sanchez’s recent transfer from Manchester United to Inter.
The 30-year-old attacker has joined Inter on a season long dry loan deal with the hope of being able to return to his previous performance levels after a nightmare 18 month spell with United.
Speaking to ESPN, Rueda said: “It is a great opportunity for him to get back to his previous level, to be happy and to play more.”
Sanchez made 27 appearances across all competitions for United last season but could only contribute two goals and four assists.
He was an unused substitute in Inter’s second game of the season against Cagliari on Sunday night and could well make his debut in a Nerazzurri shirt in Inter’s next match away to Udinese, who Sanchez knows particularly well having played no less than 112 times for them during a three year spell in Udine.
