Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso has shared that it is La Viola’s intention to try and keep a hold of their star players for as long as possible, namely Federico Chiesa, who continuously draws links to top clubs.

“If the best player leaves a club, it is not a good sign for anyone. Gabriel Batistuta stayed at Fiorentina for 10 years and we want to keep our best players for as long as possible. Having said that, no one has submitted an offer to us for Chiesa,” he said in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

Italian-American businessman Commisso, who acquired Fiorentina earlier this Summer, then went on to praise both Inter and Juventus.

“Inter has reached a very high level whilst Juventus are always super and their model should be one that is followed. Juventus could field three different teams with all the players they have and their supremacy is not good for Italian football.”
