Inter made an unsuccessful attempt to try and sign Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt during the Summer transfer window according to a report from BILD.

The Nerazzurri made a €40 million swoop for the Serbian international who was one of the best performing left wing back’s in Europe last season.

The Eagles sporting director Fredi Bobic however knocked back Inter’s advances for the former Stuttgart man due to already agreeing with him that the club would not take any offers for him into consideration this Summer.

Kostic has been able to carry on from where he left off last season and has played a big part in the Commerzbank Arena side’s success at this early stage of the season.

The 26-year-old has made nine appearances across all competitions, including five in the Europa League. In a total of 810 minutes on the field, he has contributed four goals and tallied three assists.
