Inter were well prepared in the event they had to go to court after Mauro Icardi launched legal actions against the club according to a report from Corriere della Sera.
Due to Icardi’s move to Paris Saint Germain, the legal pursuit has lapsed but Inter had a strong defence case prepared.
The Nerazzurri were ready to deny Icardi’s accusations that they purposely excluded him and reveal that it was in fact Icardi who was refusing to train as part of the group.
Icardi was also behind his exclusion from the pre-season tour of Asia and had asked Inter management to be left behind.
The club were also going to argue it was up to them who featured in advertising campaigns, who wore what shirt number and who was captain of the club too after Icardi accused the club of discriminating against him by not including him in advertising campaigns, stripping him off his number 9 shirt and removing him as club captain.
