Antonio Conte’s first challenge as Inter boss is to not let Juventus run away with things early doors according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus are looking to win their ninth straight Serie A title and have got their latest Serie A title defence off to the best start having won both of their games to date.

Conte has managed to keep up the pace with his former employers and Inter in fact find themselves ahead of their Bianconeri rivals in the table due to a superior goal difference.

Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti also wants to ensure Juventus do not run away with things but the Partenopei have already stumbled and are three points behind having lost to them in a 4-3 thriller.

The Milan based news outlet believe that Inter lack quality in the midfield compared to both Juventus and Napoli but the fact Conte has shown he can improve the performance levels of players, most notably Antonio Candreva, could well even things out between them.
