Ahead of Chile’s upcoming fixtures over the course of the international break, Inter attacker Alexis Sanchez has spoken on the pride he feels when representing his country.
“I have been part of the national team for 13 years and it always gives me pride to come to represent Chile. Every time I come here I have fun. I want to contribute with my experience and coming here helps me a lot too,” he told the Chilean national team’s official website.
“It has been 13 years since I made my debut and I am the person who has played the most games, scores the most goals and provided the most assists.
“All of this makes me proud but I would have achieved nothing if it were not for my teammates. I know wish to teach the younger players in the squad what I have learned so that in the future I can see Chile playing the same way. I want to help the next generations.”
