Ahead of Chile’s upcoming fixtures over the course of the international break, Inter attacker Alexis Sanchez has spoken on the pride he feels when representing his country.

I have been part of the national team for 13 years and it always gives me pride to come to represent Chile. Every time I come here I have fun. I want to contribute with my experience and coming here helps me a lot too,” he told the Chilean national team’s official website.

“It has been 13 years since I made my debut and I am the person who has played the most games, scores the most goals and provided the most assists.

“All of this makes me proud but I would have achieved nothing if it were not for my teammates. I know wish to teach the younger players in the squad what I have learned so that in the future I can see Chile playing the same way. I want to help the next generations.”
