Paris Saint Germain have made a sensible decision in signing Mauro Icardi from Inter in the eyes of Corriere dello Sport.

The French powerhouses secured the 26-year-old Argentine striker on a loan with an option to buy – reportedly €70 million – deal from the Nerazzurri on transfer deadline day.

Edinson Cavani’s future with the Parc des Princes side is up in the air and there are persistent rumours that he will depart the club at the end of the season for David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami.

Neymar is also more than likely also going to depart the Parisian club next Summer having failed to secure a move away this Summer despite looking as if he was going to return to former club Barcelona.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that Inter’s management deserve credit for managing to offload Icardi, who appeared intent on remaining with the club despite knowing he would not be play again.
