Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella is in line to start for Italy in this evening’s Euro 2020 qualifier away to Armenia according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
The former Cagliari midfielder will complete the midfield in Roberto Mancini’s 4-3-3 system and will play alongside Chelsea’s Jorginho and Paris Saint Germain’s Marco Veratti.
There will be no room in the starting XI for Barella’s Inter teammates Stefano Sensi or Danilo D’Ambrosio however, the report goes on. Both players will start the match in the Armenian capital of Yerevan on the bench.
Sensi should be given a start against Finland on Sunday evening but as things currently stand, it is difficult to foresee D’Ambrosio featuring whatsoever.
Probably Italy starting XI (4-3-3): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Alessandro Florenzi, Leonardo Bonucci, Alessio Romagnoli, Emerson Palmieri; Marco Verratti, Jorginho, Nicolo Barella; Federico Chiesa, Andrea Belotti, Bernardeschi.
Kick-off for this evening’s game at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium is scheduled for 18:00 CET.
