Inter have spent the 10th largest sum of money in the transfer market in the past nine years, the CIES Footballing Observatory have highlighted in their latest report which focuses in on the transfer market.

The Nerazzurri have spent no less than €968 million on incoming transfers since 2010 and Juventus are the only Italian club to have spent more with the Bianconeri having spent €1.2 billion.

Premier League champions Manchester City have spent a mouth-dropping €1.6 billion in the same time frame which is more than anyone else.

The report also took a look specifically at the most recent Summer transfer window. Spanish side Atletico Madrid were the biggest spenders having spent €329 million. Inter were the fourth biggest spenders having spent €212 million.
