Milan Skriniar has admitted that he has been left impressed by the early showing of Inter new boys Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

“Romelu Lukaku is feeling good, you can see in training that he is a very strong player. Alexis Sanchez is also a great player and he has already showed that he is very good in his first few training sessions, I think he will certainly help us,” he told Slovakian news outlet Sport.

Asked about Inter’s early season form, Skriniar responded: “If we continue at this rate, we can show that we can do something important.”

The centre back also discussed Inter’s difficult Champions League group which will see them take on Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Slavia Prague.

“They are important opponents, unfortunately you cannot choose the draw you are given. This is the group we have been given and we want to do well and progress in the competition.”

In conclusion, he was asked specifically about Barcelona: “There is more to Barcelona than Lionel Messi. They are a team full of big names and very good players. We are not thinking about it now though as the game is still far away but we will certainly try to win it.”
