The changes Inter have made in recent months mean it is no longer such an impossible thought that they could challenge Juventus for the title according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has brought in a new manager in the shape of Antonio Conte, who has got off to the perfect start, winning both of his Serie A games to date.
In Conte’s 3-5-2, each player is made to be an expert in their respective position. Conte’s goal is to create a really strong group and even early doors there are signs of this with every player playing celebrating together after a goal.
The management have also changed the objectives. They have raised the expectation levels and removed the bonus players will receive for qualifying for the Champions League as they believe that should always happen.
Inter spent around €180 million on new signings during the Summer transfer window, managed to reach their €40 million capital gains target and deal appropriately with the difficult situations of Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic and Mauro Icardi.
