Letterio Pino, the former agent of Mauro Icardi, has discussed Napoli’s failed attempt to land his former client during the Summer transfer window.

“Napoli found themselves the victim to the fact that Icardi didn’t want to move from Inter,” Pino remarked in an interview with Radio Punto Nuovo.

“De Laurentiis tried so hard with Wanda Nara to sign Icardi, he always called her with the consent of Inter, he was very kind towards him. It was the right team, but at the wrong time.”

Pino then went on to discuss Icardi’s move to PSG and the social media culture that dominates football and sport in general these days.

“In the end, this situation ended well thanks to Wanda and Marotta. Football must however change. I do not want to get all into politics or philosophy but the hatred on social media comes from the fact that people are angry at life in general. Kids of today have no cultural basis.”
