Inter will announce the one-year contract extensions of captain Samir Handanovic and Danilo D’Ambrosio shortly according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Both players are currently under contract with the club until the end of the 2020/21 season and once their renewals are made official, they will be contracted until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Once these renewals are finalised, the report goes on to state that Inter management wish to then work on tying Lautaro Martinez down to a new deal.
The Argentine striker is currently one of the lowest earning players in the squad as he earns €1.5 million a year and in a recent meeting with his agent Beto Yaque, the club promised that a new contract would be forthcoming.
The club intend to raise his salary to around the €3 million mark and extend his contract until the end of the 2022/23 season. His €111 million release clause is likely to remain in the contract even though Inter CEO Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is not a fan of release clauses.
