Inter and Flamengo have reached an agreement over the €18 million permanent transfer of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Turin based news outlet Tuttosport.
As a result, Inter will not record a capital loss against the Brazilian striker’s value on the club’s books and it will give Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio more flexibility in the upcoming January transfer window.
The 23-year-old attacker will be putting an end to what can only be described as a nightmare spell at the Nerazzurri, who he has made just 10 appearances for since joining from Santos in a €30 million deal back in 2016.
Gabigol was limited to just 183 minutes on the field for Inter but did manage to contribute a single goal.
The four time full Brazilian international has used his loan spell with the Mengao to get his career back on track and has scored an impressive 27 goals since arriving at the club in January.
