Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has spoken on how it has felt to play for Flamengo whilst on loan from Inter.
“It is every player’s dream to play for a top European club, but I am very happy to be at Flamengo,” he said in an interview with Brazilian You Tube channel De Sola.
“I insist I am very happy and I am in no hurry to leave Flamengo. Half of my heart belongs to Flamengo, the other to Santos, which is a club I feel so grateful towards.
“I have always dreamed of being able to play at Flamengo and I have loved being able to play at the Maracana stadium. When I do not get on the pitch, I was in the stands cheering with the supporters.”
The 23-year-old striker has been in fine goal scoring form since joining the Mengao back in January having found the back of the net on 27 occasions across all competitions.
