Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio and his deputy Dario Baccin’s recent hard work is set to be rewarded with new contracts according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta greatly appreciates the work the duo put in and what they did for the club during the Summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri want to extend the contracts of both Ausilio and Baccin through until the end of the 2021/22 season, which is the same year Marotta’s contract with the club expires.

The club believe that it is important to keep what is turning into a successful management team altogether and the renewals will only add further organisation and structure to the way that the club is run.

Ausilio has been with Inter since 1998 and assumed his current role as sporting director back in 2014. Baccin meanwhile became Ausilio’s right hand man back in 2017 having made a name for himself at Palermo.
